Evening my gorgeous cherubs ... ♥
Hope you've all had a fantastic week ... and have some fantastic plans for this bank holiday weekend :) im so happy im not working this bank holiday, so im hoping the weathers nice so me & the boy are going out!
So just before christmas ... god christmas seems like a MILLION years ago ... how fast as this year gone!
Anyway before christmas i treated myself to the Elemis SOS cream ... and when i say treated i paid £47 for this lil baby ...
What Elemis says : This daily treatment moisturiser has been formulated to provide the most effective solution for stressed, hormonal or irritated skins and to restore the skins natural radiance. An effective formula of Amino Acids, Lavender, Absolute willow, Centella Asiatica and Myrrh, this revolutionary moisturiser provides soothing relief with protection.
Elemis does not test on animals :)
This is just one pump, and as you can see theres alot of product there. The consistency is very runny & smooth, it soaks into the skin fairly quickly without leaving any residue and it has a very prominent lavender smell which some may think is over powering
So i mentioned it in my January Favourites and i really liked it as i wasnt using it every day, it was more like 2/3 times a week like a little treat to my skin :)
So i noticed about a month ago on the back of the bottle it only has a 6 month shelf life ... SIX MONTHS for £47 !! I'd expect alot more in the shelf life than 6 months for that price!
So i decided i better start using it every day and use it all up as i didnt want to throw any of it away, so after a few weeks use i noticed my skin was getting oily towards the end of the day, especially in my T-Zone area, i racked my brains as to what i had been doing different and then i realised it was this! When i was first using this product back in winter it worked wonders for my skin, i think now with the weather being alot warmer its just to rich and is causing my skin to produce way to many natural oils which isnt a good look at 16.30 in the afternoon :S
Would i repurchase this ... for £47 i dont think i would, i'd never usually dream of spending that amount on face cream but it was a treat :) a very nice one at that lol!
So with what ive got left ... im thinking i'll give it to my mum, she'll make good use of it ... alot more than me anyway!
Have you tried any of the Elemis range? What do you think? Do you think its an over rated skin care or does it work wonders for you?
