Elemis SOS cream ... ♥

Evening my gorgeous cherubs ...

Hope you've all had a fantastic week ... and have some fantastic plans for this bank holiday weekend :) im so happy im not working this bank holiday, so im hoping the weathers nice so me & the boy are going out!

So just before christmas ... god christmas seems like a MILLION years ago ... how fast as this year gone!

Anyway before christmas i treated myself to the Elemis SOS cream ... and when i say treated i paid £47 for this lil baby ...

What Elemis says : This daily treatment moisturiser has been formulated to provide the most effective solution for stressed, hormonal or irritated skins and to restore the skins natural radiance. An effective formula of Amino Acids, Lavender, Absolute willow, Centella Asiatica and Myrrh, this revolutionary moisturiser provides soothing relief with protection.

Elemis does not test on animals :)

This is just one pump, and as you can see theres alot of product there. The consistency is very runny & smooth, it soaks into the skin fairly quickly without leaving any residue and it has a very prominent lavender smell which some may think is over powering

On the side of the bottle there is a lil window where you can see how much product you have left, which i think is a really good idea as you can control how much your using too.

So i mentioned it in my January Favourites and i really liked it as i wasnt using it every day, it was more like 2/3 times a week like a little treat to my skin :)

So i noticed about a month ago on the back of the bottle it only has a 6 month shelf life ... SIX MONTHS for £47 !! I'd expect alot more in the shelf life than 6 months for that price!

So i decided i better start using it every day and use it all up as i didnt want to throw any of it away, so after a few weeks use i noticed my skin was getting oily towards the end of the day, especially in my T-Zone area, i racked my brains as to what i had been doing different and then i realised it was this! When i was first using this product back in winter it worked wonders for my skin, i think now with the weather being alot warmer its just to rich and is causing my skin to produce way to many natural oils which isnt a good look at 16.30 in the afternoon :S

Would i repurchase this ... for £47 i dont think i would, i'd never usually dream of spending that amount on face cream but it was a treat :) a very nice one at that lol!
So with what ive got left ... im thinking i'll give it to my mum, she'll make good use of it ... alot more than me anyway!

Have you tried any of the Elemis range? What do you think? Do you think its an over rated skin care or does it work wonders for you?

Primarni Haul ... ♥

Evening twinkle toes ...
So yesterday was my day off so i decided to spend it with my mummy ... and off to Primark we went to do a lil bit of bargin finding :) We usually go to the Primark in Manchester centre but for a change we decided to go to the Oldham one, which is just a short bus away :)
So i didnt want to spend lots .. which is pretty hard in Primark but i gave my self a limit ... which i stayed WAY under :)

So a few pictures of my goodies :)
(picture heavy)

Two pairs of large tacky sunglasses for a bargain price ... £1 each :) im thinking of doing a post dedicated to my sunnies ...as ive got about 8 pairs lol!

Some shorts for when im at the gym  when it gets abit warmer and they were only £3
How adorable are these ... they'll look lovely with some skinny jeans and a vest top in either lemon or pink or white - £4
A beige vest top for a £1 and a floral mini layered floaty skirt for £7
Some baggy bf fit shorts :) for £9 and i LOVE these.
A large wicker style bangle ... £2

And finally my bargain of the day ... even more of a bargain than all my other goodies ...

He was all alone stuck on the shelf surrounded my neon pink bangles and as soon as i seen him i knew i had to have him ... ive named him Hedgewig ... yes im a harry potter geek :) and he was only 50p .. yes 50 pennies :) how cute is he :)

I also picked up some basics ... some more white pumps i go through these so fast, as soon as there dirty i throw them away, a few fitted white T's as everyone needs them and for the price of them i only wash them a few times before getting new ones.

Have you got any primark goodies lately?
If so let me know so i know what to look for next time .. :)

NOTD ... ♥

Evening twinkle toes ...

Ive just found these pictures whilst deleting everything from my memory card ... i actually had this NOTD about a week ago .. :s whoopsie!

So i was bought this for my birthday.

Its out of the Rimmel I Love lasting finish collection and its in number 195 Azure.

Its a medium toned royal blue with silver reflexes. I quite like this colour, i think its abit to dark for spring but its pretty :)

Like all Rimmel Lasting Finish polishes it lasted about 4-5 days without excessive chipping which is good for me as i tend to do most of the house work :)

I know I know a very quick post but there's not much more i can say about a polish lol!

NOTD with a twist ... ♥

Hey Sugar Plum Fairies

So i decided to have my neice & nephew stay over on Saturday night, its been AGES since they've slept over.
My neice is 8 and obsessed with nail polish ... i let her have free reign on my nails and this is what i ended up with ..
(ignore the chips ive had this polish on all day & its a cheap Claires polish)

a bright barbie pink ... and then she added some silver glitter
I havent touched them up or anything and she did really well not to get it all over my cuticles!

What you think? She's gone a pretty good job hasnt she? Have you had your nails done by a niece?Sister?Daughter? If so make a post and leave me a comment with the link!

OOTD & FOTD ... ♥

Good evening pumpkin pies ...

So i hope you've all had a FAB weekend :)
Is it me or does Saturday & Sunday just go wwwaaayyyy to fast ... it seems like a blink ago since it was 5 o'clock on friday evening.

So my sister-in-law organised a HUGE wedding fair today so i thought i'd show my support and pop along.

This is the outfit i wore - nothing major :)

Top -Newlook - this was a long shirt dress but it was a funny length so i cut it & wear it tucked into jeans
Jeans - Newlook
Belt - Newlook
Bangles - A few charity shops, Newlook, Primark and Greece

Shoes - i forgot to put them on for the picture but i wore these boots (picture taken from earlier OOTD)

Last night i put my hair in two french plaits then took it out this morning so i had some soft waves, i really like it,  its so simple yet looks really effective! Also i cant do braids on the front of my own hair so to do something a lil different i decided to do a big twist

A quick FOTD too :

Face :
Maybelline Satin Dream in 004
Bare Essentials in Fairly Light
Natural Collection Blush in Pink cloud

Eyes :
Mac e/s in Natural Flare
Inglot in Double sparkle
Rimmel Kohl Black Liner
Maybelline Falsies

Lips:
Rimmel renew moisture in Latino

(these pictures were taken after getting home so the lips have faded TONS )

What do you think of Wedding Fairs? Good idea? Or Utterly BORING?
So its back to work tomorrow :( Mondays are awful .. i think Mondays should be made into the new last day of the weekend? Who agree's?

Before & After my Hair extensions... ♥

Hey Sweetcheeks
Its a day closer to the weekend ... YEY! Is it me or is this week DRAGGING! I cant believe its only wednesday ... whats going on?
So i know this is abit late .. but i just havent got round to taking pictures of my new locks ... So if you follow me on twitter tweet tweet you'd know i got hair extensions on Saturday just gone ...
So this is what my hair looked like pre extensions

When its down to the front its really short as you can see

So after a very short time with the hairdresser this is what i came home with ... two different shades of brown 150 individual 20inch hair bonds

I hope you can tell of this picutre how there bonded in, and also the lighter brown that was used to add dimension to my hair instead of just a long block of dark brown hair, i just need the bottom of it cutting into so its not really blunt, i'll get my sister-in-law to do that for me :)

Overall im EXTREMELY happy with them ... although i did wash them tonight and it took me an hour and half to blow it and straighten it :S but hey the end result is worth it ... i cant wait till weeked so i can get to have a play about and curl it :)

Have any of you lot had hair extensions bonded in before? If so what do you think?

*huge hugs & kisses*

Maybelline Satin Liquid Finish ... ♥

Good evening sugarplum fairies

So as i was putting my foundation on for the day i realised i havent seen many review's or post dedicated to this little beauty ... Maybelline Dream Satin Finish.

(picture taken from google images)

I personally LOVE it ...

So what Maybelline say :

♥ first air-whipped liquid mousse foundation
♥ 100% poreless look
♥ Air-brush finish
♥ Full yet lightweight coverage
♥ Ultra-bendable, comfortable texture
♥ Satin perfect & luminous finish

I think maybelline have got it quite right ... it is very full coverage but very lightweight on your face. When i first got this i was using my Mac 190 foundation brush and then after a few weeks i went to my Smashbox #13 which gives me a much better & even finish, i find this foundation very easy blend and making it easy to avoid the dredded tide marks around your face.

So the colour i got was light porcelain 004 which is the 3rd lighest out of 8 colours i think

This took me ALOT of guts ... and umming and arring.... so below is a very scary picture of me without ANY make-up!

So i think these pictures show how full the coverage is, i dont have rosy red cheeks after i applied the foundation. I usually put a very light dusting of Bare Essentials mineral foundation in light over the top just to set it, but i usually put my foundation on around 8.30 in the morning after ive been to the gym and its still in place well after 6 when i get home :)

Ive got normal to oily skin in my T zone and this product works really well for me, i also think with it being a liquid it should work for other skin types too, back to what Maybelline say ...
Airbrush finish - i wouldnt go that far but it is a very nice finish :)

Have any of you tried this foundation yet?

Any other good recommedations on any other Maybelline foundations?

*huge hugs & kisses*

Evening pumpkin pies

So i hope everyone has had a fantastic Monday :) Hey ones step close to weekend now isnt it ... well thats the way i think of Mondays anyway!

 Navy Sandles
All from Newlook ... :)

On my tootsie's i had this polish just a cheap & cheerful one from Asda

So a quick FOTD whilst im here .. nothing special just a plain simple look
